FIRST CHILDHOOD | A Fabulary
Starting from the universe of the first years of life and the stories of those times, "Primeira Infância: Um Fabulário" focuses on the figure of Maria Rita, a nine-year-old child who began performing with Terceira Pessoa at the age of six and has never stopped being involved in creative processes. In this show, Maria Rita tells the story of Terceira Pessoa and her "first childhood", relating it to initiatory events such as the Big Bang, the Baby Boom, a Supernova that happened at the exact moment she was born - her mother told her she felt it on her skin. In the intervals of her story, Maria Rita presents her first works of art, the result of her reflections on her early days. Accompanying Maria's drift are her couple of soft toys, with whom she has existentialist conversations, sometimes touching on eternal themes: "Yes, drifting is a very beautiful thing, but it's also very difficult. Just like the unicorn. You can't see it, but you can't say it doesn't exist either."
